Vierzig-fünfzig (2017) examines the visual documentation of the RAF members' 1977 deaths at Stuttgart-Stammheim prison. Working from archival photographs reproduced in Stefan Aust's Der Baader Meinhof Komplex, the work isolates details by covering most of the pages with spray paint. By emphasizing form, texture, and gesture over narrative context, the work interrogates how these photographs—repeatedly re-interpreted in journalism and contemporary art—function as both evidentiary objects and sites of ongoing cultural re-inscription.
