Untitled (Lenin) (2020): In the former Soviet Union , tapestries symbolized prosperity and prestige - genuine wool carpets with Oriental patterns were makers of status for those
who could afford them. As Monica Rüttlers notes in "Der Teppich an der Wand," tapestries remain part of Soviet visual memory today.

Here, a faded tapestry-reproduction on fabric, a trompe-l'œil marble pedestal painted on wood, and Lenin busts supporting the pedestal evoke Soviet aesthetics. This fictional constellation dissolves historical constraints, condensing memories of Soviet life into an imaginary interior space.
