The graphite drawings, sceen print, and other works on paper for the series From The Archives, 2025 draw on a wide range of imagery sourced from the artist’s archive of documentations, found photographs, international magazines, and illustrated books that they have compiled over many years. From the Archives not only references the visual artifacts that underpin their artistic process, but also poses a fundamental question: What finds its way into a society’s archive – and what is forgotten? Through the combination and reinterpretation of their source material, Leonid Keller create a space in which the interplay between image perception and cultural identity becomes perceptible and open to critical reflection.
